Fashion Revolution Week 2019 – The Maverick Store UK

Fashion Revolution Week 2019
As we look ahead to the Fashion Revolution Week, let's take a look back at the milestones of 2018 and how far the sustainable fashion industry has come.
A report published last week by Lyst stated a 66% increase in searches for sustainable fashion since 2018. A fantastic result for change.

A big highlight for The Maverick Store was Stacey Dooley's documentary aired in December 2018, highlighting fashion's dirty secrets. Really raising awareness of the harms of the fast fashion industry on the environment, our Instagram grew by 100 followers over night, it was a fantastic to see the passion from people being consciously more aware of where they will look to buy their clothes.

How do you get involved in the Fashion Revolution?

1. Ask #Whomademyclothes?

Last year people took pictures of their clothing inside out, showing the label and asking retailers on social media who made their clothes, using the above #.

2. Sign the Manifesto

3. Send a postcard to a policy maker.

4. Create a love story.

5. Try a #haulternative

6. Go to an event

7. Donate
